Description
Summary:North Jakarta is one of the administrative cities in DKI Jakarta province which has a high investment value. One of the sub-districts in North Jakarta is Cilincing District. The sub-district has a problem that often occurs, namely flooding. The flooding that occurred in the sub-district occurred due to accumulation of air which could not enter the river with a catchment area of 16,873 km². The rivers under review are the Gendong River with an existing capacity of 1.5 m³/s and the Petukangan River with an existing capacity of 0.5 m³/s. The only flood control building that exists is the Belibis Reservoir which collects water from a 2.08 km² catchment area and also the Bulak Cabe Pump House which is located downstream of the two rivers. The construction of the Embung Rawa Malang is planned to accommodate water from a 1.08 km² catchment with an outlet in the form of a pump with a total capacity of 6 m³/s. From the construction of the Embung Rawa Malang, there was a reduction in floods but did not complete the flooding until the flood discharge had a return period of 10 years. To resolve the flood, other measures are needed, such as increasing the capacity of the Petukangan and Gendong Rivers, building other reservoirs and increasing the pump capacity of the Bulak Cabe Pump House.
