Description
Summary:With the decrease in puppetry in recent times, it has caused a decline in puppetry so that the main need or consumption of the art of puppet performance has become less. However, the flow of time that has developed has caused puppet characters, especially Cepot, to be undiscussed or aired in every event both through theaters, performances, and digital TV channels. The rarity of puppetry and Cepot which has become iconic for the people of the Sunda region, especially West Java, is no longer an important heritage but is not a major need. With the combination of the following ceramic crafts raising Cepot figures, it is hoped that it can bring up memories in the community of the importance of one of these traditional cultural heritages and the final craft work from Cepot will refer to interior products. This study aims to reveal the exploration of interior decoration in the process of making Cepot figures and the selection of materials to be applied to Interior Design in Kampoeng Ladang in Sumedang Regency, West Java. The manufacture of elements on ceramic products gives aesthetic value to the final product.
