Description
Summary:DC-DC converters with very low input and output ripple are indispensablE in a wide range of applications for power electronics. A modified direct current converter named Cuk is proposed in this thesis. The converter is produced from a modification of a conventional Cuk DC-DC converter in such a way that it has boost characteristics. These direct current converters can be used as cells that can be used in a variety of functions from DC-DC converters to DC-AC converters (inverters). In this thesis, we propose a converter that has input and output currents with low ripple. By using mutual inductance, this converter can have a current ripple on the input side and on the output side which is lower than the inductance without mutual. The method of analyzing the output voltage and ripple current of the inductor has been carried out. The analytical method created had verified through simulations and experiments. So that the modified Cuk converter using mutual inductance is suitable for various applications that can reduce input and output current ripple as well as high voltage ratios.
