The high rate of urbanization has led to an uncontrollable increase in population. However, this is not matched by the availability of housing for middle and low-income communities, resulting in a serious housing backlog and informal settlements. Informal settlements may present a new image in the city, but the impression is often of slums, overcrowding, unhealthiness, and disorder. However, behind these negative perceptions, these settlements play a crucial role in shaping the city's structure, providing housing for middle and low-income communities, and serving as places of survival and growth amidst the challenges of urban life. The government offers solutions such as high-rise buildings (rusun) to address the challenges. However, the fixed and predetermined nature of these buildings hinders adaptability to the needs of the occupants. This thesis aims to contribute a solution in the form of a building prototype using incremental methods, allowing the house to grow according to the needs and conditions of its owner. To support the application of incremental methods, the Design for Disassembly principle is also applied to provide flexible spatial solutions and enable rapid construction. The prototype aims to become a viable, healthy, and flexible alternative for informal settlements, enabling informal communities to continue to grow and develop. text
