Description
Summary:Good planning and design are important in realizing a quality of life (livable) impact on all aspects of life, such as being able to walk. This good plan and design are what can create a livable and sustainable space. Until now the existing measurements are limited to the habitability index not based on spatial urban areas and the green neighborhood measurements from GBCI are limited to an area of 60 ha. Thus, the need for a model that can measure an urban area plan with a livability approach to be able to determine the level of livability of an urban area which can be poured into a more detailed plan later and can provide benefits to stakeholders in making decisions for further development and monitoring of the city as well as in assessing the city's plan towards livability. As for the purpose of this study is to develop a model to measure the performance of the plan with a livability approach based on the selected sub criteria, components, variables, and indicators. The selected sub-criteria are walkability, open space, social infrastructure, transportation, affordability, and employment with 17 components/variables and indicators in it. This model has been tested by measuring the performance of an urban area with a case study in the Cibeunying Area of Bandung City with the finding that the plan performance has a higher value than the existing condition where the existing condition has moderate livable performance, and the plan has high livable performance. The conclusion of this study is that the model that has been developed can be used properly and has been tested for its use in an urban area using the livability approach. The recommendation of this research is a model for measuring the performance of this urban area plan that can be developed with a sustainability approach by adding appropriate criteria, sub-criteria, variables, and indicators at a later stage.
