Summary:The manufacturing machinery and equipment industry plays an important role in supporting the production processes of a manufacturing company to produce good quality products. Itamaka Workshop is a company engaged in the machinery industry that produces custom industrial machines, custom parts, molding, and mechatronic installation services. One of Itamaka Workshop's current problems is optimizing production planning. The current problem is that the CNC Milling machine owned by Itamaka Workshop cannot fulfill orders from the Custom Parts, Molding, and Development Divisions, so Itamaka's management decides to outsource production, especially for products from the Development Division. Outsourcing production has an impact on reducing Itamaka's profit, so Itamaka's management decides to optimize the use of machines owned by Itamaka Workshop by optimizing production planning, which is expected to have an impact on increasing Itamaka's profit. The method used for production optimization at Itamaka Development Division is the Linear Programming method. Linear Programming is a method of solving optimization, which can be in the form of maximizing profit or minimizing costs, mathematically through allocating limited resources owned by Itamaka Workshop by taking limitations into account to find out all alternatives and choose the best goal. Recommendations for optimal production planning at Itamaka Development Division using the LiPS software Linear Programming method are: Tee Clamp Cable 52 pieces, Adapter Bracket Shock 45 pieces, Cover Arm 35 pieces, Anti Dive 31 pieces, Casing Mod Vape 20 pieces, Lowering Kit 22 pieces, and Handle Brake 0 pieces. The Handle Brake design is not ideal for Itamaka production. It is better if the production is fully outsourced or Itamaka redesigns the shape of the Handle Brake in accordance with the capabilities of the machine in the Itamaka Workshop. The net profit that is obtained when using production planning using Linear Programming is Rp. 55,115,000, compared to the net profit using the current production planning of Rp. 44,010,000, so if the company uses Linear Programming production planning, it is predicted to get a profit increase of 25.23%, or Rp. 11,105,000.
