Krakatau Tirta Industri located at Tirta Graha Building, Jalan Insinyur Sutami, Kebonsari, Citangkil, Kebonsari, Kec.Citangkil, Cilegon City, Banten is a clean water provider in Cilegon and surrounding areas. This area is mostly an industrial area, to meet the water needs of the industry, a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) with a capacity of 0.6 m3/second will be built. This planning accommodates requests from seven industries that have signed contracts for the next 3 years, namely from 2023 to 2025 with a water demand of 715 liters /second. The raw water sources used in meeting water needs are the Cidanau River and PT KTI’s artificial lake, Nadra Krenceng Reservoir. The results of water quality tests such as turbidity, color, Suspended Solid (SS), iron, zinc, phosphate, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), fecal coli, and total coli do not meet the quality standards, namely the Minister of Health Regulation (Permenkes) No.2 of 2023. The selection of treatment units was conducted using the JICA method. The selection of the selected alternative uses the matrix of the Analysis of Hierarchical Process (AHP) method. Based on this method, the selected alternatives are aeration-coagulation using cascade aerator, pre-chlorination, flocculation-sedimentation using clearator, quicksand filter, disinfection, and neutralization. As for sludge treatment, gravity thickener and belt filter press will be used. The cost budget required in designing the Krenceng water treatment plant is Rp5,142,632,248, with total operational costs per year of Rp2,460,956,998. text
