Description
Summary:Indonesia is one of the largest archipelagic countries, with a population of 273 million people. The distribution of population between urban and rural areas is still extensive. Bontocani District is one of the areas in South Sulawesi, which is geographically mountainous with challenging terrain to reach people. The average expedition time to reach health facilities in the sub-district is 120 minutes. In addition, the number of health workers at the Bontocani Health Center is still tiny compared to the total population ratio. Generational changes led to the domination of the technology-literate generation. Information and communication technology application in the health sector has increased in potential and scope since the COVID-19 pandemic. Teleconsultation is a type of telemedicine which is an option in making a patient's diagnosis. This study aims to design and implement a website- based telemedicine application that specifically assists the Bontocani Health Center in patient management. The health center information system can register patients, make online examination queues, generate electronic medical records, and teleconsultation. The results showed that the health center information system complied with the specifications that had been designed and worked well. The final testing result of the health center information system show that the application has no bugs and errors, and has a usability value of 3.25 which defines the health center information system as quite good. This system has integrated data between actors that makes no duplication or difference in data. However, the teleconsultation system still needs improvement because patient and doctor actors still need to refresh the web page so that messages between actors can be displayed.
