Summary:The rapid development of one of Jakarta's suburban areas, Cibubur, has resulted in a significant increase of trip to the city center, which is predominantly accommodated by the public transportation system, specifically the BRT TransJakarta route 7C (Cibubur-BKN). In an effort to enhance the public transportation ecosystem in the greater Jakarta area, the Jabodebek LRT was constructed, providing service between Cawang and Cibubur. Given the similarity in routes between these two modes of transportation, it creates dynamics between them due to their distinct characteristics. This research aims to investigate the influence of the Jabodebek LRT Cawang-Cibubur on the mode choice preferences of the TransJakarta Bus 7C users, in order to support the efficiency and optimization of public transportation operations. This research adopts a disaggregate model approach using the binomial logistic analysis method with the IBM SPSS 25 application based on questionare survey of the TransJakarta Bus 7C users to identify influential factors, as well as their probabilities and sensitivities. The factors that have influence include the comfort of the Jabodebek LRT mode, occupation, purpose of travel, location of travel to East, South and West Jakarta, access time, waiting time, transportation cost, access mode of public transportation, modes, access of conventional/online taxi services, egress mode of private vehicles, egress mode of public transportation, perceived factors related to facility and bus stop conditions, perceived factors related to travel and time certainty, and perception of bus and bus stop load for TransJakarta Bus 7C. The probability of using the Jabodebek LRT Cawang-Cibubur is 68%, while the probability of using the TransJakarta Bus 7C mode is 38%. The inflluence of waiting time and transportation cost for the TransJakarta Bus 7C on the probability of mode choice preferences is relatively small, with the probability of selecting the Jabodebek LRT still tending to be higher compared to the TransJakarta Bus 7C. This indicates that the mode choice preferences for the Jabodebek LRT CawangCibubur and TransJakarta Bus 7C are currently more influenced by the characteristics of the respondents or their trips, as well as the significant enthusiasm for this project.
