Gaharu is a high-value commodity because it is a rare commodity with a very long duration of production and high-quality agarwood costs up to $100,000 per kg. Gaharu is a rare commodity because many species of agarwood-producing trees are threatened with extinction and the yield of agarwood production is very small, which is conventionally induced by natural elicitation methods. In this study, secondary metabolites were elicited in the shoot culture of the gaharu-producing plant (Aquilaria malaccensis) using MM fungus isolates isolated from Aquilaria filaria clumps. Elicitation of secondary metabolites was carried out for 7 days to analyze secondary metabolic pathways induced by elicitation based on the profiles of the compounds produced. Elicitation was carried out by the co-cultivation method between shoots of Aquilaria malaccensis and MM isolates in vitro. This study aims to identify the genus of fungal isolates from A. filaria sapwood using the dichotomous key, determine the growth kinetic parameters (? and Gt) and the kinetics of sugar consumption of the fungal isolates, determine the age of the fungal culture used for elicitation, and determine the height of the elicitation zone in the shoot culture. malaccensis elicited with various starch concentrations of 2g/L and 6g/L, and to determine the profile of terpenoid compounds from shoot cultures of A. malaccensis elicited by fungi with various starch concentrations of 2g/L and 6 g/L. Based on the research results, it was found that the MM mushroom isolates came from the genus Fusarium, the ? and Gt values were 0,5462mg/day and 18,912hours respectively, and the age of the fungi culture used was 5 days (exponential phase), the average elicitation zone length the average for variations of 2g/L and 6g/L, respectively was 0.900 ± 0.636cm and 0.633 ± 0.568cm, as well as profiles of of terpenoid compounds from post-elicitation A. malaccensis shoot culture was composed of neophytadiene, lavandulyl acetate, 14B-pregnane, phytol, and phytol ester. text |
