INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/74949 The design of the Trangsan Community Center as an educational and cultural tourism center for the Trangsan Rattan Tourism Village departs from the absence of a facility that provides a space for rattan craftsmen to develop and promote the processed rattan products they produce. The rattan commodity in Trangsan Village is one of the largest rattan commodities in Central Java. This commodity has existed since 1986 and continues to exist until now. The rattan commodity in the Rattan tourist village has experienced ups and downs. In 1990, Transansan Rattan experienced its heyday, exporting rattan furniture at 600 containers per year. However, the rattan industry in Trangsan Village experienced a setback from 2000 – 2010 because the number of furniture exports continued to fall until it finally increased again in 2013. Until now, the rattan commodity in Trangsan Rattan Tourism Village does not have a platform that can help them improve the quality of their production. . As a result, the rattan products produced by the rattan commodity in Transsan are mostly only suitable for the lower middle market. The resulting furniture designs are unable to keep up with the world's rattan trends. This resulted in a decrease in the income of the Trangsan Village rattan commodity. Through the design of the Trangsan Community Center, it is hoped that rattan craftsmen will be able to develop and promote their rattan products through facilities designed according to the needs of rattan craftsmen. With the existence of community center facilities, it is expected to be able to increase the number of visitors both for recreational and educational purposes. In addition, this design is expected to increase the pride and sense of belonging of the people of Trangsan Village to cultural values that have been passed down from generation to generation as well as being able to implement them into something that benefits each individual and the environment. The research method that will be used in this study is a qualitative approach. The qualitative approach used was a literature survey of books and journals, field observations of Trangsan Rattan Tourism Village located in Sukoharjo, and direct interviews with rattan craftsmen in Trangsan Village. The design of the Trangsan Community Center will focus on educational tourism and commercial space as an effort to develop and promote processed rattan products at the Trangsan Rattan Tourism Village. The space program is based on the functions that will be applied to this facility, namely education, commercial and recreation. The educational function is implemented by providing workshop spaces, learning centers, and exhibitions. The commercial function is implemented by providing showroom space, furniture tenants and merchandise. While the recreational function is implemented by providing space that functions as a communal space such as sitting area, multipurpose field, amphitheater, food tenant and pay ground area. The design of the Trangsan Community Center will adopt human values in living a social life that is beneficial to the environment. This concept is implemented by implementing the Baur (adaptive), Basudara (connectivity) and Basudara (grow) keywords. text |
