INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/74990 The rapid increase in the population has led to the conversion of many agricultural lands into settlements and infrastructure, resulting in competition for land use and a narrowing of agricultural land. Utilizing unproductive land for cultivating food crops using a polybag system is one of the solutions to this problem. Sweet corn (Zea mays Saccharata sturt) is one of the food crops favored by the community to meet their carbohydrate and protein needs. It requires an environmentally friendly growing medium with good N, P, and K content to meet the plant's nutritional needs and reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers. Making compost using waste from oyster mushroom baglogs and animal manure can be used as a growing medium. This study aims to determine the compost composition that provides the best results for cultivating sweet corn, Bonanza F1 variety, based on vegetative, generative, and plant production parameters. The study uses a completely randomized design with 4 different compost composition treatments, including Ko (baglog waste without the addition of animal manure), Ka (baglog waste + chicken manure), Ks (baglog waste + cow manure), and Kk (baglog waste + goat manure). Based on the results, the MKa treatment (growing medium + Ka compost) was found to be the best treatment for vegetative, generative, and plant production parameters for sweet corn Bonanza F1 variety, as it has higher nutrient content compared to other treatments. text
