INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/75000 The large number of potential earthquakes in Indonesia has resulted in building structures having to be designed using an earthquake resistant structural system. However, it is known that many of the existing buildings that are still being designed do not meet the existing SNI requirements. In the latest SNI regulations, the requirements for seismic and reinforcement for earthquake resistant structures are very strict. Today's structures are required to remain stable when an earthquake occurs. Apart from these requirements, what is also important is the directivity of the earthquake because it cannot be predicted. This makes planners have to calculate internal forces with different directivity to find out the largest internal force to be used in planning. In addition, it is necessary to evaluate existing buildings to mitigate risks due to changes in earthquake loads and to find out how well the actual structural performance of the building is. If from the results of the evaluation, the existing building does not meet the targeted performance level, it is necessary to repair the structure to improve the performance of the structure. In this study, 2 earthquake directivity models were used with a reinforced concrete structure model that functions as a flat with a height of 10 floors located in the city of Bandung with moderate soil conditions (SD). Existing buildings were evaluated by pushover analysis and nonlinear time history analysis (NLTHA) with 3 (three) pairs of time history earthquakes that have been scaled by spectral matching method. The structure response to be compared is the collapse mechanism and the level of performance based on the directivity being reviewed. text
