This study will analyze the smog phenomenon that occurred in the DKI Jakarta area on July 29, 2019 and its relationship with weather conditions in the DKI Jakarta area. Meteorological factors, pollutant content, and atmospheric stability will be analyzed to analyze these meteorological phenomena. This study is to analyze the phenomenon of smog in the DKI Jakarta area on July 29, 2019 and its relationship with weather conditions and its characteristics including air quality conditions in the DKI Jakarta area. The study time chosen for this study was on July 29, 2019 from 06.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB. For weather condition analysis, weather conditions will also be reviewed one day before and after July 29, 2019. The potential for smog was identified from the composite results of Day Snow-fog RGB and Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) in the DKI Jakarta area on July 29, 2019 when the smog phenomenon occurred precisely at 13.14 WIB. The stability of the atmosphere on July 29, 2019 based on observations from radiosondes tends to be stable throughout the day. Levels of pollutants such as SO2, CO, and NO2 tend to be lower on average pollutants throughout July 2019 during smog. However, O3 (ozone) levels tend to be higher than the average pollutant throughout July 2019. This could be the result of a photochemical reaction between chemicals in polluted air and sunlight. This process produces higher amounts of ozone in polluted air which in turn can support the formation of photochemical smog. text |
