The challenge of integrating agile in the company is complicated by the process' complexity, fast change, and ambiguity. Scrum is a type of agile framework that helps people, teams, and organizations produce value by customizing solutions to challenging problems, such as those that arise during product development processes. It takes time and works to establish a scrum culture, but it may increase productivity, improve product quality, and increase customer happiness. A change in organizational values and a dedication from every team member to prioritize communication, continuous development, and the delivery of reliable software are necessary for the successful adoption of Scrum. However, many companies use Agile methodologies without proper analysis of their values and principles, leading to less-than-ideal results. Assessing scrum culture is essential to continuous improvement and successful agile implementations. This study explores how the value of Scrum is measured and applied to digital startups. This study's objective is to understand how these startups assess conformance to the Scrum values, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for promoting a Scrum culture. The research was conducted at three digital start-ups: BD, IB, and LU. Data were collected through interviews. To evaluate and improve Scrum implementations, this study proposed a Values, Goals, Questions, and Metrics (VGQM) model derived from Scrum values. The VGQM model provides start-ups with a metric framework to assess adherence to the Scrum values and improve their practices accordingly. Based on the findings, recommendations were made for each startup. These recommendations include providing appropriate training to ensure team members have a thorough understanding of Scrum principles, encouraging cross-functional collaboration to improve productivity and creativity, evaluating and improving Scrum tools and processes, and establishing clear boundaries to balance customer satisfaction and productive work processes. In addition, it is recommended to improve product backlog management and use good scrum tools for project management. Future studies should be standardizing data collection and ensure equal roles among participants recommended for more reliable assessment results. text |
