The sustainability existence of the student association is highly dependent on the roles and contributions made by its members as the main resource in running the wheels of activity in each period. It is very necessary for each student association to understand each member's engagement conditions thoroughly by conducting regular evaluation. It is possible that the condition of members' engagement with the organization can change along with the dynamics of the organization's internal conditions that occur due to certain factors. Currently, there are still very limited studies that examine and evaluate the level and condition of engagement of members in non-profit organizations, especially student associations, generally, previous studies analyze engagement within the scope of employees in companies or other profit organizations. For this reason, the researcher conducted this study with the aim of investigating the conditions and exploring the factors that influence member engagement by raising issues in the Keluarga Mahasiswa Manajemen ITB (KMM ITB) and two other associations at ITB as the object of this research, namely Ikatan Mahasiswa Geodesi ITB (IMG ITB), and XYZ ITB (anonymous name). This research uses a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews involving 15 people as informants consisting of 5 informants for each student association that comes from a different level (managerial/staff), division and has different characteristics. Through the thematic analysis process, the data obtained from the interviews showed that there are four factors that influence the engagement of student association members consisting of: Leadership, Positive Work Environment, Growth, and Basic Needs. These four variables can directly affect the engagement condition of student association members either positively or negatively. Based on the findings of this research, it can be used as a reference for evaluation materials to improve each component in the association, especially those related to the four variables to foster member engagement in the student association as one of the non-profit organizations. text
