PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION USING EQUAL SLOPE METHOD IN FIELD X WITH HYBRID ARTIFICIAL LIFT: ELECTRICAL SUBMERSIBLE PUMP AND GAS LIFT

Oil and natural gas in a reservoir are produced by lifting fluids to the surface through production facilities. Naturally, the fluid flow produced will be lifted to the surface by means of natural flow. A decrease in reservoir pressure is normal if production is carried out continuously which result...

Naturally, the fluid flow produced will be lifted to the surface by means of natural flow. A decrease in reservoir pressure is normal if production is carried out continuously which results in a decrease in oil and gas production. One way to increase production again is to increase the pressure drawdown by applying artificial lift to a production well. Optimization in a field with more than one method is usually done using computational methods. Meanwhile, simple optimization methods such as equal slope, until now have been applied only to fields with artificial lift, namely gas lift. So far, the application of the equal slope method to artificial lifts other than gas lifts has not been applied. In this study, the authors propose the equal slope method to optimize the field using a hybrid artificial lift in the form of an Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) and a gas lift simultaneously. In this study, the authors wanted to analyze the optimization with the processing capacity limits of well production dan gas injection allocation. The results showed that the equal slope method can be used to optimize the production field with a hybrid artificial lift. Before being applied to optimize the hybrid artificial lift, the equal slope method was first tested to optimize the artificial lift besides the gas lift. text
