Description
Summary:At the planning stage a hydrological analysis is required, including the calculation of the design flood discharge in order to determine the required dimensions of the waterworks. Indonesia is a developing country where difficulties are often encountered due to the limited and available data for hydrologic analysis, so it is suggest that the SUH calculation can be used as a solution. In the calculation guideline on SNI 2415:2016 concerning Procedures for Calculation of Planned Flood Discharge, there are errors in writing equations and inconsistencies in the results of calculations which are exemplified, so this study conducted a review of this matter. The evaluation was carried out starting from improving calculations and checking the accuracy of the results with the mass conservation law. This study also carried out numerical-integrated HSS calculation procedures for various methods listed in the SNI, so that it is expected to obtain HSS calculation procedures that are generally accepted, easy to calibrate and always comply with the law of mass conservation. Evaluation of these calculations was carried out in 32 watersheds as well as calibration examples on measured data and examples of calculations in the literature.
