The complexity of the works has caused involvement of many parties from any competence in the production process and lead to a complex supply chain. This supply chain complexity needs a management between the involved links because supply chain management is considered as one of strategic efforts to increase the competitive strength of a construction company in the middle of local, regional and global competition which has become stricter. An effective supply chain is expected to give a high competitive strength to the company. Besides, a bad design of supply chain is considered have the potential to increase the project cost up to 10%. <br /> <br /> <br /> Construction supply chain will give contributions to the efficiency of a project performance, so a construction supply chain has a potential becoming a possibility space for improvement in construction industries. As a beginning phase, a mapping of construction supply chain pattern is done for construction in Indonesia especially in building construction. Four pattern of supply chain have been identified which are usually used in construction project especially building. The next step is measuring the performance of each supply chain pattern. The purpose is to get the picture of performance from those four patterns of building construction project, especially in managing the relationship of every party who are involved in the construction production process. <br /> <br /> <br /> The measurement has been done to supply chain performance from four projects as the case study, limited for architectural finishing work in seven months from the realization of the project in the field using ten indicators of assessment for performance of supply chain. Based on the result, it can be seen that connecting to the implementation of lean construction concept, it can be said that the performance of each projects is good to the understanding and implementation that has been done in the field to the aspects from conversion concept in construction phase. It can be seen that there has been an understanding and implementation of production concept as a conversion process by the contractor in their business management. Besides, it can also be seen that there have been efforts doing by the contractors in implementing flow concept in the production in the field. <br /> <br /> <br /> However, the performance which is connected to the value concept that must be delivered exactly as what the consumers want (giving satisfaction to the customer); it has not met the real value concept that has to be delivered to the owner. Contractors’ understanding to the value that must be delivered is still a match between the design and the performance which in the other words, it is just about the quality of the work. Along with the efforts of improving the efficiency in construction industries, from ten indicators of assessment for performance of supply chain, it can be seen that contractors have understood conversion concept and it has been especially, the part of their production activity, and commonly of their business. On the other side, indicators about flow and value concept implementation still need some attention for an improvement in the future so the effective and efficient supply chain for building construction can be obtained. <br /> text
