Summary: | The Mangrove Petengoran Ecotourism has great potential to be developed
as a source of income and welfare for the community of Gebang Village. However,
the development of Mangrove Petengoran Ecotourism is hindered by conflicts and
differences in perspectives among the involved stakeholders. This research aims to
identify the stakeholders involved in the management system of this ecotourism
and to determine their roles, level of importance, influence, and mapping in creating
an optimal management system.
Data collection for this research was conducted through observations and
interviews to gain in-depth information about the involved stakeholders. The
collected data were then analyzed using content and qualitative descriptive analysis,
as well as stakeholder analysis to understand the roles and positions of each party
in the ecotourism management. The results of the research show that there are ten
stakeholders involved in all stages of the development of Mangrove Petengoran
Ecotourism, from rehabilitation to becoming the renowned ecotourism destination
it is today. From the ten stakeholders, they are then divided into subject, key player,
context-setter, and crowd according to their level of interest and influence.
Therefore, coordination and active involvement of each stakeholder are
needed to support the development of Mangrove Petengoran Ecotourism. This
research provides a better understanding of the stakeholders involved in the
management of Mangrove Petengoran Ecotourism and the roles of each stakeholder
in creating an optimal management system. These findings can be used as a basis
for developing effective strategies to address conflicts and achieve a balance
between the interests of various parties involved. With coordination and active
participation from all stakeholders, it is hoped that Mangrove Petengoran
Ecotourism can develop sustainably and provide maximum benefits to the local
community and the surrounding environment. |
