Ammunition is one of the important things in the physical defense of a country. There is no use of firearms without ammunition. Ammunition is a one-time use item, once the projectile is fired it cannot be used again because the bullet must be damaged, the propellant is burned out, the primer or booster is also burned. Case may still be used with certain treatment because after experiencing combustion from the propellant it will definitely change its microstructure. PT Pindad as a State-Owned Enterprise has the task of producing defense equipment, especially firearms, combat vehicles and ammunition. Therefore, the increase in demand for ammunition by the Ministry of Defense must be properly responded to. However, in reality on the ground, the Munitions Division, which produces ammunition, has not been able to meet its production target of 500 million bullets per year. Steps to purchase new tools and machines as well as related investments are being intensified. However, this has not fully met the production target. In this thesis, there is a slight description of the unbalanced production capacity between processes which causes a production bottleneck, which results in the number of products following the smallest capacity of one of the NATO standard 5.56x45mm caliber ammunition manufacturing processes.
