Description
Summary:Water is one of the most important natural resources for living things. The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia guarantees the community's right to use water. The river is one of the water resources, but in each watershed (DAS), the conditions are different. The Citanduy River, which passes through the city of Banjar, West Java, is a source of raw water that has the potential to be utilized. In Banjar City, a Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) has been built and is managed by PDAM Tirta Anom, Banjar City, with a processing capacity of 400 liters per second. However, the community has not fully obtained the right to access clean water. This study aims to optimize the use of raw water from the Citanduy River in accordance with the quantity and quality of river raw water, which will then be used by the community, especially Banjar District. The method used to determine the availability of raw water in the study area is an analysis of river water discharge with a distribution suitability test. For water quality analysis, a comparison of the results of the water quality status was carried out using the NSF-WQI, IP, and Storet methods. Based on the results of observations and a literature review, it was found that the river raw water in the study area has the potential to meet the demand for water in 2045 with a surplus discharge of 1648 liters per second. Based on its orientation, the water quality of the Citanduy River has a quality value of slightly polluted to moderately polluted. The final results of this study are expected to provide recommendations for continuous raw water management and water quality that meet quality standards and meet the community's need for clean water in the study area.
