INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/75164 The environmental carrying capacity is diminishing due to population growth and human activities that inadequately preserve the environment, both in the industrial and domestic sectors. The same situation applies to water resources, which are deteriorating and require management efforts. One of the efforts in water resource management is the sustainability analysis of the Watershed. Similarly, the management of the sustainability of the Citarum Watershed is crucial as it is related to the environmental carrying capacity for living organisms, which ultimately affects human well-being, especially in West Java. Therefore, this study aims to review the environmental sustainability of the Upper Citarum Watershed based on indicators such as water quality, water quantity, land use, and biodiversity over the past 10 years. Based on the analysis of these five indicators, the following results were obtained: the water quality index (NSF WQI) for the period 2013-2022 was categorized as poor (WQI score = 42.13), the river regime coefficient (KRS) was categorized as good (KRS = 49.31), the land use index (IPL) was categorized as moderate (IPL = 59.15), the erosion potential index (IPE) was categorized as very poor (IPE = 52.72), and the biodiversity index (H') was categorized as very good (H' = 3.41). Therefore, the Environmental Sustainability Index of the Upper Citarum Watershed (IKCLH) is classified as moderate with a value of 0,51. text |

The environmental carrying capacity is diminishing due to population growth and
human activities that inadequately preserve the environment, both in the
industrial and domestic sectors. The same situation applies to water resources,
which are deteriorating and require management efforts. One of the efforts in
water resource management is the sustainability analysis of the Watershed.
Similarly, the management of the sustainability of the Citarum Watershed is
crucial as it is related to the environmental carrying capacity for living
organisms, which ultimately affects human well-being, especially in West Java.
Therefore, this study aims to review the environmental sustainability of the Upper
Citarum Watershed based on indicators such as water quality, water quantity,

five indicators, the following results were obtained: the water quality index (NSF
