Summary: | Binuclear complexes of Fe(II)-Ag(I) with bidentat ligand dipyridylketone, pyridylquinoline, and dimethylethilenediamine have been synthesized from salt of Fe(II) and [Ag(CN)2] under nitrogen atmosphere. Three complexes were in powder form and based on analysis of metal ion composition by AAS, their molecular formula are {Fe(dpk)2[Ag(CN)2]2}, {Fe(dmed)2[Ag(CN)2]2}, and {Fe(pq)2[Ag(CN)2]2}. The yield of synthesis was around 31,3 - 53,7%. The existance of two metal core in complexes was supported by diffraction pattern obtained from XRD Powder. Fe(II) ion in all complexes have high spin state at room temperature, with magnetic moment value was found between 4,92 - 5,02 BM. The complex structures were ilustrated by Chem3D, and the cis-configuration was most likely formed due to replacement of one bidentate ligand bound to Fe(II) through two coordination position that next to each other with two dicyanoargentat(I) ions. |
