Description
Summary:Static mechanical testing is a quality control process conducted when the train is in a stationary or static state. Mechanical testing is related to mechanical aspects such as dimensions and loading, also performed by conducting tests for leakage, curvature, and movement space. The development of cyber physical systems (CPS) in mechanical testing enhances the monitoring of the inspection process and decision-making, allowing both processes to be performed with detailed result in real-time. In this study, CPS-based mechanical testing of trains is developed using a configurable virtual work station (CVWS), a database, and a web-based interface. Testing data is entered through the web interface, stored in the database, and then processed by the system to generate decisions from the conducted mechanical testing. The development involved creating a CPS-based digital system to enhance information flow efficiency. The tested system successfully stores inspection data in a database, processes the data to generate inspection decisions based on the inputted inspection data.
