Description
Summary:The need for transportation infrastructure such as flyovers is needed to support the mobility of the growing population. The construction of flyover infrastructure in urban areas has another impact, which create lost space in the space below it. Lost space is created in the space under the Pasupati Flyover, Bandung City. The lost space was transformed into a public place, called the Film Park, by the Bandung City Government. Spatial condition changes indicates that placemaking has happened. This research will identify the placemaking process that occurs in the lost space under the Pasupati Flyover into a public place. This research is qualitative with a case study approach. This research concludes that there are several factors driving and inhibiting the occurrence of placemaking, as well as important moments or events that can affect the characteristics of space. Then, it was also found that the community was less involved, both in the planning and management of the Film Park.
