Description
Summary:Online parameter monitoring is necessary in the industry 4.0 era. The majority of CNC milling machine design have not yet been created with an online maintenance system in mind as producer of these machine are mainly focused on automation. Nevertheless, the issues of maintenance are currently resolved by creating extra interfaces and software for connecting the computers to the online monitoring server. This thesis focuses mainly on a bearing in a spindle component in a CNC milling machine. Spindles are essential parts of machinery. Predictive maintenance planning helps increase production efficiency and quality by accurately estimating the spindle condition and its prognosis. This thesis suggests a technique for estimating the remaining useful life (RUL) of spindle bearings used in machine tools by combining computation and experimentation. The ISO 281 calculation model makes use of observed real loading circumstances brought on by the usage of machine tools and the machining process. The improved spindle lifetime L10h computation utilizing real load distribution is made possible by the model. The spindle's remaining useful life (RUL) may be determined because its operation hours are also tracked.
