This method has a large usage field, such as in radiotherapy. For solving the long duration dose calculation problem, there are several new developed Monte Carlo algorithms to make the calculation faster, one of them is Voxel Monte Carlo (VMC), which then developed further to XRay Voxel Monte Carlo (XVMC). Installing and using XVMC are easy enough because users need no knowledge of the program's code to use it. For understanding the dose characteristics using XVMC, five simulations had been done. For those simulations, the gantry angle of each beam is different. Further more, another five simulations had been implemented using the same gantry angle. The following comparisons are done: dose percentage taken by tumour, dose taken by normal tissue around the tumour, and the duration of the simulations. However, it could be concluded that XVMC is very fast in calculating dose distribution and easy to use because of the tool which can visualize the tumour and isodose curves called xvmc_show. text
