Educational institutions quickly adopted various applications to support their online learning activities. This quick and widespread adoption carries the risk that these applications may not adequately satisfy the needs of their users. In this Final Project, the author aims to measure ITB students’ user experience of Microsoft Teams as one of ITB’s primary online learning applications. User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) is the chosen tool to measure user experience (UX) for the purposes of this research. Evaluated against the benchmark provided by UEQ’s Data Analysis Tool, the result of the measurement shows an overall very lacking user experiece. The User-Centered Design approach is then used to find and solve the problems students have in using Microsoft Teams, in an effort to reach the UX Goals of Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, and Stimulation – the UEQ scales that required the most improvement based on the initial measurement. The output of this Final Project is a prototype of several features of Microsoft Teams, namely the modified features of Posts, Sidebar, Meeting, and the newly added features of Attendance and streaming recordings of past Meetings. This prototype is then measured using UEQ and compared to the initial measurement of Microsoft Teams. The obtained score shows an improvement of user experience and succeeds in surpassing the minimum target score of Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, and Stimulation. text
