Description
Summary:Ground operation is the phase where the aircraft/vehicle is still move on the ground. During this phase, the load from the aircraft is transferred to the landing gear. So its role is very important. The strength and adjustment of the shock absorber that fits can provide security and comfort in the operation of the aircraft. Until now, there have been several configurations of landing gear, however, only 1 is the majority used because of the several advantages it has, namely the tricycle type. In this study, the vehicle will be modeled as a point mass with 3 landing gears with a tricycle configuration type. The vehicle modeling uses Simulink software and the geometry data uses MATLAB. Simulation scenarios for the response of the vehicle during ground operation are varied under various runway conditions, thrust and spring stiffness. Finally, the response results were analyzed to obtain an understanding regarding the characteristics of the landing gear on the aircraft
