The Territorial Sea Boundary Map is very important to support various activities such as shipping and navigation. In this study, there are two main aspects that need attention, namely the aspect of marine cartography and the specifications for determining the boundaries of the Indonesian seas. The research method used is a literature study involving related documents such as the 6th edition of TALOS, UNCLOS 1982, Chart No. 1, as well as other scientific journals that help with literature studies during the research process. This research aims to identify the Indonesian Territorial Sea Boundary Map that complies with the 1982 UNCLOS provisions and to recommend specifications and standards for the presentation of the Indonesian Territorial Sea Boundary Map. The aspect of marine cartography is important and involves several studies, including sea charts, symbols and abbreviations contained in Sea Map No.1 (Chart No.1). The specifications and standards for determining sea boundaries are based on the provisions of UNCLOS 1982. By paying attention to aspects of marine cartography and determining sea boundaries, the Territorial Sea Boundary Map can convey information effectively, informatively and communicatively to users. The Territorial Sea Boundary Map has an important role in guaranteeing the sovereignty of coastal states and regulating rights and obligations in territorial waters. With this map, countries can ensure that their maritime boundaries are recognized internationally and can carry out sustainable management of natural resources. text |
