The Bekasi City Government has long promised to deal with the floods that occurred in Bekasi City, one of which is Rawalumbu District. This study aims to see how the government's efforts and community involvement in dealing with floods that occurred in Rawalumbu District. Data collection methods used are primary data and secondary data. Research continued with the method of qualitative descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The data used are in-depth interviews, observations, and related literature reviews. The results of the study show that the strategy for community participation is to increase cooperation and good communication with the government to minimize the risk of flooding, including building good synergies with the government, utilizing assistance from the government to facilitate regular maintenance, utilizing active communities to help with maintenance and finding land, and increasing community awareness around the river by outreach and actively participating in activities held by the government and activities held by the community itself, so this participation strategy can be used as a reference or guideline in developing flood prevention in Bekasi City. text |
