Description
Summary:Climate change caused by global warming results in sea level rise. This phenomenon poses a threat to communities living in coastal settlements, such as the residents of Kampung Laut in the Segara Anakan area. This region is frequently affected by annual tidal floods, leading in the inundation of a significant number of houses in the area. Consequently, both residential buildings and settlement infrastructure in area are damaged. Furthermore, tidal floods can also negatively impact the health of the population due to a decline in environmental quality. The aim of this research is to examine housing models that are resilient to floods using appropriate technology, in order to develop applicable recommendations for resilient housing models for the community. The method used is the qualitative inductive method from residential image, the social environment conditions of the community associated with existing flood technology and is exploratory in nature, and utilizes adaptation with adjustment theory. The research results in zoning and the implementation of suitable strategies for each zone based on its characteristics. The hope is that this research will provide suggestions and solutions for flood-resilient housing models using appropriate flood technology, which can be applied to the housing in Kampung Laut and enhance resilience to floods.
