Description
Summary:<p align="justify">The go no-go gauge becomes a crucial element in ensuring quality in the manufacturing process without sacrificing a significant amount of time for measurement. This research focuses on designing a go no-go gauge for the turning process of a transfer case’s main shaft. The transfer case’s main shaft is a vital component in the transfer case system of vehicles, especially 4WDs, and precision in the manufacturing process is key to the performance and safety of the vehicle. The study begins by identifying the measurement tool requirements from the design specifications of the main shaft transfer case that have been established. Subsequently, based on these requirements, the necessary dimensional specifications are determined to be incorporated into the design of the go-no-go gauge. Validation of the created go-no-go gauge is performed through testing on several samples of main shaft transfer case parts with various sizes that have been previously manufactured. The test results are evaluated to ensure that this go-no-go gauge design can accurately identify parts that meet the specified tolerances. The results of this research are expected to enhance the efficiency of the main shaft transfer case part's manufacturing process. With the appropriate go-no-go gauge in place, potential production errors that may lead to financial losses can be avoided.
