Administratively, this river itself passes through Bogor City, Tangerang City, and Tangerang Regency. Tangerang City is a city that is quite densely populated. Tangerang City itself is the third most populous city in the urban area of JaBoDeTaBek. Tangeran City is also one of the biggest manufacturing and industrial cities in Indonesia. However, it is undeniable that floods still frequently hit Tangerang City due to high rainfall and the capacity of the Cisadane River which is unable to accommodate large loads can cause a lot of losses, considering that Tangerang City is one of the cities with sufficient population and high productivity. This can disrupt local community activities. So to increase the capacity of the Cisadane River, it is necessary to have flood control efforts to reduce the threat and potential for flooding due to overflow of the Cisadane River, Tangerang City, Banten Province. The designed discharge for flood control in this river is a 20 year return period discharge with a discharge amount of 1,088.69 m3/s, the design carried out in this final project is normalization, detention ponds, and embankments. With the normalization of the inundation area in Tangerang City it is reduced by 25.77%, with the presence of retention ponds it can reduce the inundation area by up to 43.2%, and embankments by 100%, with these three designs the capacity of the Cisadane River can increase up to 1,095 m3/s. text
