Results showed that the number of cocoon and the density of adult worms in the field has positive correlation with soil moisture content between 21,3 percent to 45,4 percent. The maximum cocoon production under laboratory condition was 4,93 cocoons per adult per month on the fourth month of rearing. The incubation time of cocoons became shorter with the increased of temperature, while the highest hatchability was at 21 farenheit C and lowest at 17 farenheit C. The growth of earthworm reared under laboratory condition showed a sigmoid curve with the highest weight was 830 mg and reached adult stage by 90 to 120 days. The feeding preference varies with different of leaves litter. The highest litter consumed was Axonophus compressus, followed by Lantana camara, Persea americans, Zea mays, E patorium inulifolium, Oryza sativa and the lowest was Pinus merkus. The feeding preference of earth worm has negative correlation with the ratio C/N of leaf litter. <br /> text
