Description
Summary:<p align="justify">The Maros River is located in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi Province, where a major flood occurred within a span of 4 years. Flood control infrastructure planning was carried out for the Maros River Basin by conducting an analysis of a 25-year design flood discharge. In performing the analysis and calculation of the flood discharge, calibration was done using rainfall data and discharge measurement data. Based on the calibration results, the ITB-1B method was used as the method for calculating the design flood discharge. Based on the modeling, the maximum capacity of the Maros River was found to be 331.36 m3/s, with approximately 64% of the surveyed river sections experiencing overflow. The analysis was followed by the design of flood control infrastructure, including Retention Ponds, River Normalization, and Embankments. Alternative options were selected and detailed planning was carried out, including technical drawings and stability analysis. An estimated budget for the Maros River flood control infrastructure was also calculated. As a complement, operational planning and maintenance were conducted for the planned infrastructure.
