Summary: | According to Indonesian regulations, every drone weighing above 25 kg required to have Type Certificate. The type certification process begins with the certification plan submission. The certification plan includes minimum deliverables. The thesis highlights four minimum deliverables, namely: the type design both for the aircraft and its operations, the certification basis, means of compliance, and a proposed timeline. By conducting in-depth interviews with engineering experts in the drone industry and conducting a thorough review of relevant regulations, this undergraduate thesis illustrates the interconnectedness between drone development and the certification process. The deliverables outlined in this thesis detailed aircraft design and operational considerations, the categorization of the applicability of CASR Part 22, 39 documents to demonstrate compliance, as well as a timeline spanning three years and one month for the development and certification process. |
