Summary: | Mental health communities are important in providing emotional support because having social connections can reduce stress levels, anxiety, depression, prevent loneliness, and even prolong someone's lifespan. In order to enhance social connections among community members, interventions that address the needs of the engaged community, namely the Ashwa community, are necessary. Therefore, this research aims to develop an intervention plan based on the needs of the Ashwa community to enhance social connections among its members. Data collection is conducted through interviews with members who have participated in discussions or casual conversations in the community's Discord group to identify their needs. Subsequently, these needs are coded and transformed into plans of intervention. The intervention plan is then confirmed, validated, and reviewed by mental health professionals as part of the triangulation process. The results of this process then lead to three intervention plans: peer support groups, bonding and connection forums, and regular reminders as mental health support for the Ashwa community. Further research is highly recommended to assess the effectiveness of these interventions by conducting measurements before and after the implementation of the interventions. |
