INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/75680 Marine tourism is a form of tourism that relies on the natural attractions of coastal and marine environments, both directly and indirectly. In the development of marine tourism, it is essential to formulate effective strategies to achieve desired goals. This research aims to determine the potential of marine tourism in the East Coast of Lampung Province and assess whether the tourism activities are safe for the tourist areas and the surrounding environment. The method used in this study is the Coastal Ecotourism Vulnerability Infrastructure Index (CEVII), which involves the weighting of various factors, including geology, average sea level rise, tidal range, average wave height, coastal slope, erosion/accretion, water depth, tide levels, beach type, beach width, underwater substrate material, current velocity, beach slope, land cover, and freshwater availability, to assess the suitability of coastal tourism. Secondary data from various sources were used for the analysis. The results of the CEVII assessment indicate that Pantai Agung in Tulang Bawang Regency has a score of 56.60% (moderate), while Pantai Tiska in Bandar Lampung City, Pantai Marina in Lampung Selatan Regency, and Pantai Kerang Mas in Lampung Timur Regency received scores of 88.00%, 86.90%, and 82.40%, respectively (very good). This suggests that Pantai Tiska in Bandar Lampung City, Pantai Marina in Lampung Selatan Regency, and Pantai Kerang Mas in Lampung Timur Regency have significant potential for recreational use and are relatively safe for tourism activities compared to Pantai Agung in Tulang Bawang Regency. text |
