Summary:The standard accuracy of hydrographic survey (2008) special order requires multibeam technology. Multibeam technology in Indonesia is limited by amounts of instruments and expert domination (human resource). Along of in coming of demand of special order hydrographic survey in Indonesia would increase, so understanding and domination of this multibeam technology is really important. This paper discusses an application of Multibeam Sonar Echosounder System (MBES) type SIMRAD EM 3002 based on manual books, study literature, interviews with some experts doing some test (sea trial) as well as processing of sample data to produce data without systematic error and blunder. The purpose of writing meant to introduce Multibeam Sonar Echosounder (MBES) technology in supporting work of survey bathimetry for various needs.
