INTERTWINING: JOURNEY OF UNDERSTANDING NATURAL OBJECTâS INTERNAL COMPONENT THROUGH DRAWING MEDIUM
Every element and object in the universe, consists of an outer surface and an interior. The outer surface, which we usually define as the real world, the world that appears as it is. The outer surface consists of visuals that are visible and that we can touch and feel with our six senses. However,...

The outer surface, which we usually define as the real world, the world that appears as it is. The outer surface consists of visuals that are visible and that we can touch and feel with our six senses. However, beneath that outer surface, it is composed of intricate, complex, and visible internal component structures. Living things, organic and inorganic components, or machines and technologies created by humans, all have an internal structure that has its own level of complexity. Knowledge of the internal structure of living things, inanimate objects, and human-made objects leads the writer to understand and learn more about the process of recognizing the reality beneath the surface of an object. Within a certain visual depth dimension, an object besides having elements of a network of fibers that compose and form regular internal components, also has an organ structure with similarities, attachments, and connectedness to one another. In this final project, the author wants to raise questions and narratives about the assumption that every component and element in the universe is interrelated and related to one another. The author conveys this idea by reconstructing the shape regularity and morphological characters of the fibers that bind, intertwine, and blend with the internal components in natural objects through the process of creating drawing works using ink, bleach, and pen on paper as medium. The result of this creative process strengthens the author's awareness that there is indeed a connection between internal components in natural objects and human creations reflecting the closest forms of God's creation, namely from within ourselves. text |

Every element and object in the universe, consists of an outer surface and an interior. The outer
surface, which we usually define as the real world, the world that appears as it is. The outer surface
consists of visuals that are visible and that we can touch and feel with our six senses. However,
beneath that outer surface, it is composed of intricate, complex, and visible internal component
structures. Living things, organic and inorganic components, or machines and technologies
created by humans, all have an internal structure that has its own level of complexity. Knowledge
of the internal structure of living things, inanimate objects, and human-made objects leads the
writer to understand and learn more about the process of recognizing the reality beneath the
surface of an object.
Within a certain visual depth dimension, an object besides having elements of a network of fibers
that compose and form regular internal components, also has an organ structure with similarities,
attachments, and connectedness to one another. In this final project, the author wants to raise
questions and narratives about the assumption that every component and element in the universe
is interrelated and related to one another. The author conveys this idea by reconstructing the shape
regularity and morphological characters of the fibers that bind, intertwine, and blend with the
internal components in natural objects through the process of creating drawing works using ink,
bleach, and pen on paper as medium. The result of this creative process strengthens the author's
awareness that there is indeed a connection between internal components in natural objects and
human creations reflecting the closest forms of God's creation, namely from within ourselves.
