Description
Summary:Climate change is caused by the phenomenon of changes in temperature and weather patterns over the long term Increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases (GHG) is a big potential that causes climate change and encourages global warming. The transportation sector is one of the big contributors to climate problems because it produces carbon emissions and increases greenhouse gases (GHG). In 2022, Bandar Lampung City experienced an increase in temperature and became the 5th hottest city in Indonesia and the 1st hottest city on the island of Sumatra. Bandar Lampung City, which is currently actively carrying out various development activities, will also affect the increase in GHG emissions. Several emission reduction programs in the transportation sector have been implemented in Bandar Lampung City but have not been done optimally. This study calculates the potential for reducing GHG carbon emissions based on the BAU scenario from the transportation sector. Based on the calculation, the land transportation sector will produce 1,872,501,068 Kg CO2/liter of emission in 2031. If all programs are implemented optimally and integrated, the emission potential that can be reduced is as much as 46.722%. The city government of Bandar Lampung needs to pay attention to this potential, and it is hoped that the city government can strive for and implement all programs optimally to achieve emission reduction targets in Bandar Lampung City and Lampung Province.
