Description
Summary:<p align="justify"> This study aims to compare the advantages and disadvantages of using Class I tools and Class III tools by analyzing the roughness values between the measurement results of Class I tools and Class III tools using regression analysis. The implementation of this research was carried out by collecting primary data in the form of International Roughness Index data using Class III equipment (Roughometer III and Irimeter II) with a data collection interval of 100 m, as well as secondary data in the form of International Roughness Index measurement data from Class I equipment (Hawkeye 2000). The research was carried out on six sections of the West Java National Road and the results were then analyzed based on statistical methods with regression equations so that the roughness measurement tool can be predicted against Class I tools (Hawkeye 2000) Based on the regression model analysis, there is a positive and significant relationship between the IRI values of the Hawkeye 2000 tool and Irimeter II tool. From the regression equation model obtained, the result of measuring the IRI value for the Irimeter II tool can be used to predict the IRI value for the Hawkeye 2000 tool. From the regression equation model obtained using linear, exponential, and rank regression analysis, it is obtained that the results of measuring the International Roughness Index values with regression analysis using the Irimeter II tool can be used to predict the value of the International Roughness Index on the Hawkeye 2000 tool. The effect that occurs on the IRI value with the Roughometer III is because the pavement surface is experiencing raveling and patching damage. Based on the measurement method technique, Hawkeye 2000 with components equipped with a Digital Laser Profiler can be more accurate while Class III tools (Roughometer III and Irimeter II) are more effective and economical.
