Summary: | PT KLM Manufacturing Indonesia is a company that specializes in the production of spare parts within the automotive industry located in Indonesia. The swift advancement of electric vehicles in Indonesia has given potential threat to the spare parts market for conventional automotive vehicles. Meanwhile, the industrial sector in Indonesia has witnessed substantial growth, leading to favorable outcomes for diverse business prospects. Consequently, the company has made a strategic decision to prioritize the enhancement of its Industrial Chain products. The objective of this study is to create a design for knowledge management in the industrial chain business of a company. It is fundamental to establish a strategic plan beforehand to ensure that the knowledge management approach is aligned with the company's objectives. The present study employed a qualitative research methodology, utilizing both primary and secondary data sources. Primary data obtained through interview with employee and observation of current situation, while the secondary data obtained through company documents examination. The TOWS analysis has been utilized to identify the strategic planning of the company. The findings indicate that a total of 18 main activities and 8 critical knowledge areas have been identified as necessary for the successful implementation of strategic planning. The proposed approach for knowledge management is being classified into PPT (People, Process, and Technology) frameworks. The finding of this study shows that in People aspects, HR and Business Development responsible as catalyst of KM implementation with the support of Document Controller. In Process aspects, the activities that support KM involves benchmarking, discussions, development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), controlled documentation and reporting, regular reviews, and sharing activities. Meanwhile in Technology aspects, the tools include internet, intranet, digital sharing folder, management dashbord, e-learning, and online library. Those aim to support the strategic planning of the company. |
