Description
Summary:In Indonesia, capture fisheries contribute to three main things: economic growth, sources of animal protein, and employment providers. Therefore, capture fisheries have an important and strategic role. Natuna, a district in Indonesia, has a majority of the population who are fishermen. SKPT Selat Lampa in Natuna aims to increase marine and fisheries activities that involve the community by optimizing and improving facilities and infrastructure to utilize marine and fisheries resources in an integrated manner. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research design in the form of questionnaires and interviews as a case study. The analytical method used is conceptualization, categorization, and description. The results of the study show that SKPT Selat Lampa can increase regional economic resilience through a fishery business system, fulfilling fish consumption for food security, local economic growth, community income, and increasing exports of fishery products. The availability of infrastructure facilities such as electricity, water, roads, communication, airports, and public ports greatly influences the success of SKPT Selat Lampa as a regional economic support system.
