The framework developed in this research is presented in the form of matrix. The horizontal line in the matrix represents phase of offshore IT outsourcing and the vertical line in the matrix represents major activities, information being shared, person in charge, and the important barriers, (2) conducting empirical investigations through the execution of three case studies in Indonesia, (3) analysing the results of the case studies in order to be able to raise some conclusions that related to the information sharing activities within the different stages, information being shared, person being involved and responsible for the sharing activities, and the barriers in the sharing process.

Three case studies had been conducted in this study. Personal interviews were executed and some related secondary documentations were collected in each case company. To be able to have a well guided and meaningful interview, an interview protocol was firstly developed. The interview protocol consists of a number of open ended and semi-structured questions to allow interviewer to clarify specific issues in the discussion. In total 7 interviews were conducted.
