This research discuss one of phenomena that have been become society attention that is region expansion policy. This research begin on fact that in implementation of region expansion policy be found problem that related with society perception about ulayat and culture that owned by that society for long time. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Research within to get this society perception taking case study about society conception to region expansion policy of North Lampung region. Assumption in this research is that society conception about region expansion influenced by society conception about sacred values and emotional culturally that they owned, social values, political comprehension, and ownership of that society resource. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Research discovery shows that region expansion policy is not just includes region distribution and financial distribution between center and district, but also related with regionally concept in culture society view based on factors that influence society view about territory, that is existence sacred values and emotional also social values in culture society. These factors are symbolic values that placed culture society as basis for resource ownership and their region. This discovery shows that region expansion policy must consider symbolic values, so this region expansion policy got support from society. <br />
