This is because fossil fuel is one of the main resources in the usage of various human activities sectors starting from power generators, industries, settlements, until transportations. It is responsibility of both society and government regarding the problem of carbon emissions in the air where the government in charge makes Low Carbon Development designed in Presidential Regulation of The Republic of Indonesia Number 18 of 2020 that Indonesia can achieve net zero emission. Some of this issues become air pollution problems mainly in big cities, one of which is the City of Bandung. Lack of green open spaces in Bandung becomes one of the causes for the decline of environmental quality which indicates that the green belt on the streets are not enough to reduce the carbon dioxide mainly due to the vehicle traffic activity. One of the efforts on reducing carbon emission in the air is with implementing “Carbon Trading”. In simple terms, the principal of Carbon Trading is a contract that has to be done or paid based on each carbon dioxide emission that is produced until reaching the emission stability in the air. The design carried out by researcher is using a design research methodology that produces a proposal system with the usage of information technology, which utilizes the information service of Google Maps and Yolov8 Object Detection so that it can inform the carbon trading calculation that occurs in Bandung City Area related to the potential of the absorbability towards carbon emission based on vehicles in each districts of Bandung. In total, Bandung area cannot be said as good in terms of the absorbability towards carbon emission produced by vehicles. Half of the 30 districts of Bandung represent a bad absorbability by giving a quite big amount of carbon emission residue in the air. Based on a blackbox test from a scenario that has already been made, result shows that the proposal system can obtain absorbability information and carbon emission potential. text |
