Description
Summary:The rapid development of telecommunication technology in the current digital era has implications for the increasing dynamics of internet usage. The Core Network, which plays a major role in connecting end-to-end users, must be able to adapt hardware and software. With the concept of SDN and NFVi, a control plane and data plane will be formed as software to help efficiently transfer data and use hardware. In addition, with the concept of Segment Routing, namely the concept of routing data with a centralized path to enable a simple IP architecture, traffic engineering for network scalability and a more efficient network resilience mechanism. The characteristics of Segment Routing will play an important role digitally for the realization of 5G technology implementation. IPv6 Segment Routing (SRv6) is a promising solution for network programmability and traffic engineering. Anycast, a technique that allows multiple nodes to share the same IP address, offers additional flexibility and robustness for SRv6 deployments. This research focuses on the performance comparison of SRv6 Anycast with traditional routing protocol on the IOS XRV9000 router. The routing protocol uses ISIS as the Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP).
